So what is hypnosis? And does it really exist ? Now that’s a good question! Here is a better one, (from Robert Rankin) and therefore worth a good ponder “Why is Cheese?”
Before I launch into a detailed explanation of what hypnosis is, (and you are still stuck on the last question and the relevance thereof, aren’t you?), let me tell that hypnosis is a subjective experience and you should experience in any way that you want to.
Here is another question about self-hypnosis. Can you remember a time when you were really happy? A specific time? What was happening? Who was there? what were the sounds? The sights? What were you feeling? How are you feelings now that think back to how good things are, now?
That’s a type of hypnosis! Now that was easy wasn’t it?
Is hypnosis mind control?
Yes, of course! If you are not in control of your mind then who is?
Hypnosis, specifically self-hypnosis means taking control of your own mind, (for a change). We spend very little time in our days actually in control of our own minds. When was the last time that you came out of a supermarket with only the items that you intended on buying?
Your mind is controlled every time you walk into your supermarket. You just have you focus on other things so that the advertisers can drive their message subtly into your mind.
If you react emotionally or negatively to situations, get taken in by supermarket branding, can’t stop smoking, can’t stop eating, can’t get over the past, then you may want to ask who is already in control of your mind because in any of those situations …it is certainly not you.
If you decide to embark on a series of mind coaching sessions with me I will help you release old negative emotions and limiting beliefs and ultimately take control of your life again. Hypnotic techniques can be very effective, although not essential.
Hypnotherapy is just one way to learn how to use your wholemind.
I will also teach you a whole host of wholemind techniques which you can take home and use on a daily basis to get the edge and stay sharply wholemind orientated and of course in total control.
Hypnosis is not for everyone and I will be more than happy to help you discover whether you would benefit from hypnotherapy or a different wholemind coaching technique.
No it probably won’t surprise you when you hear that people don’t come to me because they are thinking too many happy thoughts! Most people these days seem to have these delusions of inadequacy and fantasies of unhappiness. If that’s what you are doing then you may have just simply forgotten how to think happy thoughts.
Being happy, productive, resourceful and in control is just a series of processes and skills and all skills begin with a thought.
